Craig Whitham has been appointed Partner and elected to the firm’s Board of Directors. He has also been promoted to Executive Vice President and Managing Director. As a leader of Advantus' Business Services segment, Craig has consistently demonstrated his expertise in Virginia’s procurement laws for the firm’s expanding technology practice. In his new role, Craig will continue to lead its business services segment, leveraging his deep knowledge and experience to drive Advantus’ strategic direction.
Lauren Gilbert, formerly Associate Director of Government Relations, has been promoted to Director of Government Relations. Lauren, who joined Advantus in 2023 after her tenure with the Sorenson Institute, has been instrumental in managing multiple key client relationships. Her exceptional understanding of the General Assembly process, her coalition-building skills, and her dedication to client service have positioned her for continued success in this expanded role.
In addition, Advantus is pleased to announce Emily Webb as Senior Director of Government Affairs. A seasoned policy expert with experience in multiple administrations and, most recently, with the Virginia Chamber of Commerce Emily brings valuable leadership experience, an extensive network, and a deep understanding of the General Assembly. She will lead the firm’s municipal and public sector work, with a particular focus on education and workforce issues.
