Lem Stewart is an accomplished leader in the information technology and healthcare industries with more than 35 years of experience. He is currently president and founder of Executive Partners, a technology consulting company.
Prior to this position, he was Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Commonwealth of Virginia where he led the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) and managed all information technology (IT) aspects for the Commonwealth. As CIO, Stewart led the nation's largest IT infrastructure consolidation and transformation. Stewart's successful efforts to consolidate and transform technology in Virginia have been featured in numerous government technology publications as well as trade journals and local and state media.
Prior to becoming CIO, Stewart held various leadership positions in both the government and commercial sectors. He has more than 14 years of successful executive level experience in the health information technology industry, including QuadraMed Corporation's healthcare services division, Health Communications Services, Inc., and Information Technology Solutions.
Stewart is a former chair of the Virginia Wireless E-911 Services Board, and a member of the Virginia Geographic Information Network Advisory Board. He is also active in the community, serving as United Way chairman, supporting Meals on Wheels and various other volunteer activities.
Stewart is a graduate of East Tennessee State University and Richard Bland College of William & Mary.
