David Anderson has years of experience in making government work to solve problems for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. He has served as Counselor and Director of Policy for the Governor of Virginia, the Chief Deputy Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Virginia, counsel to committees in both the United States Senate and House of Representatives, and as an attorney in the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission. As a government relations expert and policy specialist, Anderson continues to be called upon by Governors and members of the General Assembly to provide his services for the Commonwealth. He has served on various advisory panels to the Joint Committee on Science and Technology, as counsel to Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology, as a member of the Board of Visitors of George Mason University and on the Freedom of Information Advisory Council.

He also served as Chair of the Anderson Commission on Community Services and Inpatient Care, which studied reforms of Virginia's system for providing care to those in need of mental health, mental retardation, and substance abuse services. Additionally, he served on the Governor's Commission on Finance Reform for the 21st Century and on the Commission for the Future of Virginia's Environment.  Anderson is President of the National Council for Readiness and Preparedness, a non-profit organization helping to empower local communities to better prepare for natural and manmade disasters.  He sits on the board of directors of the Cosmos Bio-life Sciences Alliance, an investment club encouraging Japanese investment in early stage American bio-life sciences firms developing new diagnostic devices and therapies for cancer, biological threats and wounds. Anderson is an attorney licensed to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia. He is married and has three children.
